PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS SEEING IMAGES IN OUTLOOK
I've received a number of complaints recently from folks who can't
open or send picture attachments in Microsoft Outlook. All they get
are outlined boxes with red X's in them.

The problem may be settings in Microsoft Word. Many people use Word
as an editor in Outlook. They may not even realize it.

If you're having this problem, open Microsoft Outlook. Click Tools>>
Options. Select Mail Format tab. Under Message Format, uncheck the box
that says "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages." Click OK.

I have been getting a lot of e-mail requests for this item. It's about the X10 pop-under ads. Yes,
they are annoying. You can get rid of them, at least for awhile. Just click this link: http://snurl.com/16b0

Coalition forces in Iraq were given a deck of 55 cards. Each card
has the name and face of a wanted member of Saddam Hussein's regime.
I've been getting spam from companies that want to sell me an
"authentic" deck of cards. And people are selling these decks of
cards on eBay for over $200! See then here!

The History of Giving the Finger
Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore be incapable of fighting in the future.  This famous weapon was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew"). Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, "See, we can still pluck yew! PLUCK YEW! Over the years some 'folk etymologies' have grown up around this symbolic gesture. Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say like "pleasant mother pheasant plucker", (which is who you had to go to for the feathers used on the arrows for the longbow), the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodental fricative 'F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger salute are mistakenly thought to have something to do with an intimate encounter. It is also, because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows, that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird". And yew thought yew knew everything

Observations from Chris Rock

"You know the world is going crazy when....

the best rapper is a white guy,
the best golfer is a black guy,
the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese,
the Swiss hold the America's Cup,
France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance,
Germany doesn't want to go to war,
and the three most powerful men in America are named
 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon.'
Need I say more?"
